Manhattan Cruise Terminal 94 Special Inspections

Waterfront Harbors/Marina/Piers/Ship Terminal

At Pier 94, repairs to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal’s inshore bulkhead and outfall infrastructure require detailed field verification throughout construction. The work takes place within an active waterfront environment where code compliance, below-grade conditions, stormwater systems, concrete placement, and underwater rehabilitation activities must be carefully observed and documented.
Our team is providing special inspection services to support the repair program and verify that construction activities align with the contract documents, technical specifications, and New York City Building Code requirements. The inspection scope includes excavation, subgrade conditions, private on-site stormwater disposal systems and detention facilities, flood zone compliance, concrete work, and dive inspections for underwater construction.
Throughout the assignment, our professionals are coordinating directly with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the Construction Manager, contractor, and subcontractors to keep inspection activities aligned with the construction schedule. Field observations are documented through inspection reports, with deficiencies tracked through correction and follow-up review. This process helps provide a clear record of the work performed and supports the successful rehabilitation of critical waterfront infrastructure at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.
