I-75 Pines Blvd

Broward County, FL

Major changes will be coming to one of I-75’s busiest interchanges, with Colliers Engineering & Design (CED) as the Prime Design Consultant. I-75 at Pines Blvd. is being redesigned to accommodate for the area’s current and expected growth; increasing capacity and efficiency while providing opportunities for alternative transportation. Project limits encompass SR 93/I-75 from North of Miramar Parkway (M.P1.588) to North of SR 820/Pines Blvd. (M.P 4.660).

CED’s design team developed the preferred design concept addressing all project constraints, such as increased traffic capacity due to forecasted demand. The new interchange includes the complete replacement of the Pines Blvd. bridge over I-75 to accommodate triple left-turn entrance lanes, an elevated ramp terminal intersection with two new bridges, and the relocation of the NB to EB exit ramp to accommodate a new Park & Ride facility.

CED is currently well under way in the development of the geometric design for this project. Most recently, the Interchange Modification Report (IMR) was approved by FDOT.
