Districtwide Bridge Rehabilitation Grouping

Miami-Dade County, FL

This contract includes managing the bridge rehabilitation and maintenance contracts to extend the lifetime of the FDOT bridge infrastructure within Miami-Dade County. This is a 5-year task work order contract that Colliers Engineering & Design has held for two consecutive contract cycles.

Scope under this contract includes, but is not limited to: Construction Engineering and Inspection of maintenance contracts including recoating structural steel beams; repairing concrete spalls on concrete beams, columns and caps, removing and replacing deficient expansion joints and addressing slope pavement cracks on several high-profile bridges. Other work also includes installing pile jackets with cathodic protection systems, concrete substructure repairs with metalizing and bulk anodes, bridge fender replacement, prestress beam repairs and removal and replacement of concrete bridge deck. Some of the more notable bridges worked on under this contract include the Port of Miami Bridge, Baker’s Haulover Cut Bridge, MacArthur Causeway Bridge, and Brickell Avenue Bridge.
