Colliers Engineering & Design provided 3D Laser Scanning and Revit modeling services for the historic Count Basie Theatre, a landmarked theatre in Red Bank, for the design of a new stage fly tower system to be installed in the existing fly loft above the main stage. Our surveyors conducted a 3D Laser Scanning survey of the stage, fly loft area, and ceiling and then analyzed the scanned “point cloud” data to produce a detailed 3D CAD file to be utilized for the design and installation of the new fly system.

Utilizing 3D Laser Scanning technology ensured that the existing conditions were recorded and modeled to a high degree of accuracy and completeness. Clearedge 3D Edgewise was used to model the steel structure. We then provided the scan data to the client in an Autodesk Recap® format.
