Alabama Power is currently engaged in an ambitious undergrounding initiative. This transformative program aims to enhance power reliability and resilience across the state by transitioning overhead power lines to underground systems. Throughout the process, our firm has been providing a comprehensive suite of services to facilitate this large-scale infrastructure upgrade.

Our multifaceted approach includes detailed title research, ensuring clear property rights for infrastructure placement. We’ve successfully managed voluntary easement acquisitions, working closely with property owners to secure necessary permissions while maintaining positive community relations. Simultaneously, our team has spearheaded customer engagement efforts, educating the public about the benefits of underground power systems and addressing individual concerns.

A critical component of our work involves precise exhibit preparation and detailed site surveys, providing Alabama Power with accurate, up-to-date information for project planning and execution. To date, we have successfully completed over 180 projects within this program, demonstrating our capacity to handle complex, large-scale initiatives.

To ensure seamless project completion, our dedicated close-out team meticulously uploads all final deliverables and parcel data information into the Resource Management System (RMS). Additionally, we utilize Simplifile for efficient e-filing of executed easements, streamlining the documentation process.
