Providing construction inspection services for this 1.8-mile roadway reconstruction and resurfacing project for Cape May County, Federal Project No. STP-0115 (104). The scope of work involves the placement of over 124,000 cubic yards of I-11 material to raise the base elevation of the existing roadway to a surcharged elevation of 13 ft to accommodate an emergency evacuation route for Sea Isle City and Dennis Township.

Responsibilities include inspection of profile milling on road surfaces; 10,924 tons of HMA 12.5H 76 surface course and 21,617 tons of HMA 25M 64 base course for the pavement box; 18” RCP, end sections and 48” x 78” elliptical pipe used for equalizer pipes; heavy utility coordination; New Jersey Turnpike Authority acceleration lane improvements; and environmental parameters due to sensitive environmental areas. The Colliers Engineering & Design team is also tasked with monitoring the contractor’s M&PT, keeping track of item quantities and daily reports, closing out the project, and performing the final punch list and as-built drawings.
