Today, Colliers Engineering & Design brings together a legacy of leadership under one roof — a multidisciplinary firm where forward-thinking partnerships and a shared commitment to accelerating success guide everything we do. But that didn’t happen overnight. 

Colliers Engineering & Design began in 1984 as Maser Consulting, founded by Richard M. Maser with a simple vision: to provide dependable, community-focused engineering solutions rooted in technical excellence and integrity. 

In 2021, Maser Consulting joined Colliers and became Colliers Engineering & Design. While part of a global, diversified professional services organization, we operate as a standalone engineering, architecture and design firm with a clear technical focus. Our work is centered on engineering and design services that shape the built environment, distinct from real estate development. This structure allows us to maintain the specialization, leadership, and culture of an engineering and design practice while benefiting from the reach and resources of a global platform. 

From the beginning, our growth has been intentional. What started with civil, municipal and land development expertise expanded as new disciplines, firms and perspectives were added. Each addition strengthened our ability to deliver integrated solutions while preserving the local knowledge and relationships that define our work. 

Over the decades, we have grown by bringing the right people and firms together. Each firm that joined Colliers Engineering & Design contributed specialized expertise, regional insight, and proven leadership — leaders who continue to guide their teams and strengthen ours. This approach to growth is not about scale alone.
