Engaged by the Township of Toms River in 2013 to develop a Strategic Recovery Planning Report (SRPR) funded through a grant from the Post-Sandy Recovery Planning Assistance Program of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Our professional planners and engineers worked with a steering committee to map areas of vulnerability based on storm-related damage to residential and business properties. The mapping and companion report addressed strategies linked to subareas based on the nature of their vulnerability (bulkheaded, inland low elevation, or adjacent to tidal wetlands or creeks).

The final SRPR will be used to pursue projects considered necessary to speed the Township’s recovery from Superstorm Sandy and improve its resiliency and preparedness against future storm events.
