Colliers Engineering & Design provided design and post-design services for the reconfiguration of the existing 6-lane urban, divided arterial along SR 5/US-1 from Beach Road to County Line Road. This work was provided to extend the service life of the existing roadway, as well as reconfigure it by replacing the third vehicular lane in each direction with buffered bike lanes. Additional improvements included the addition of two right turn lanes and ADA upgrades to correct deficiencies identified in a safety study. The project also included lighting and signalization upgrades and pavement milling and resurfacing.
