This redevelopment project for the Franklin Township Housing Authority created new and affordable housing units on two circa-1960 adjacent properties developed and managed by the Housing Authority. The Parkside Senior Housing facilities consist of a three-story building providing 70 age-restricted apartment units. Parking lots are designed to service the building. Beneath the parking lots, underground detention basins provide the stormwater management. The project was awarded LEED Platinum Certification. The Parkside Family Housing facilities consist of 35 two-family dwellings and a community building. The project, which included extension of three roadways, sanitary sewer extensions, and two underground detention basins, was awarded LEED Silver Certification.

Colliers Engineering & Design professionals provided civil/site engineering, survey services, traffic engineering, and technical observation of the construction for geotechnical aspects of the project, including proof rolling; material re-use; subgrade preparation; stormwater management structure installation; structural fill placement; bearing capacity evaluation; subgrade certification for the proposed structure; and wall backfill observation and testing.
