Provided engineering design and construction phase services for improvements to Pacific Avenue in Atlantic City, including milling/resurfacing, ADA compliant curb ramps, roadway lighting, and fiber optic ducts. The aging infrastructure, which included drainage, buildings, and underground utilities, posed substantial challenges when trying to ensure the project complied with ADA guidelines. It also posed a challenge during the installation of the fiber optic ducts along the entire length of the three-mile corridor.

Due to the unique traffic peaking characteristics of Atlantic City and the “no outlet” condition of all the side streets between Pacific Avenue and the Boardwalk, the construction staging and maintenance of traffic had to ensure continued loading and pedestrian access to the many properties and casinos in the project vicinity.
