Colliers Engineering & Design conducted a design-grade mobile LiDAR scan of approximately two miles of Grand Avenue in Las Vegas, including intersecting side streets within the project limits. The LiDAR data set was utilized as the basis for producing a Location Survey base map that included a high-density DTM and required planimetric features in conformance with NMDOT Location Survey specifications.

Colliers Engineering & Design also assisted WHPacific with identifying apparent encroachments into the existing Grand Avenue ROW by extracting building footprints/overhangs, canopies, fences, signs, and other permanent structures locations from the LiDAR data set. The purpose of the project was to introduce median access control and improve safety along the Grand Avenue corridor.
