Provided comprehensive services for the evaluation, design, and construction administration of improvements at the Middletown Sewerage Authority wastewater treatment plant, including two new contiguous aeration tanks; one new circular final clarifier; one new RAS/WAS building; one new blower building; rehabilitation of two existing aeration tanks and three final clarifiers; and new aeration influent and effluent channels and flow distribution box to final clarifiers.

Structural improvements included new concrete and masonry single-story buildings, as well as waste water treatment structures, underground and aboveground concrete tanks, vaults, and pipe supports. Some buildings have overhead hoist monorails, and several structures are based on deep foundations (piles). The project also included coordination of new construction with the continuous operation of the 10.8 MGD plant, and our professionals provided applications for funding from the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program.
