As a subconsultant, Colliers Engineering & Design provided CEI services to this major urban reconstruction project with simultaneous construction activity on both SR 907/Alton Road and SR A1A/Collins Ave. from 5th to 16th Street. Improvements to Collins Avenue consisted of: signalization, lighting, milling, resurfacing, overbuild, sidewalk replacement, drainage improvements, and landscaping. While improvements to Alton Road consisted of complete reconstruction with signalization, lighting, drainage including three drainage pump stations, roadway reconstruction and geogrid placement, bridge improvements, and landscaping.

Collins Avenue is one of the county’s primary tourist destinations, project challenges included minimizing impacts to the local business community and traveling public while maintaining a safe thoroughfare.
