Prepared a new Master Plan Reexamination Report for the Borough of Totowa, focusing on zoning recommendations for two specific areas of the municipality – Minnisink Road and one block of Union Boulevard. In 2012, the State decided that it would close the North Jersey Development Center located in Totowa and sell the property. For more than 80 years, the 188-acre campus and its 35 buildings had served developmentally-challenged individuals. The new Master Plan Reexamination Report addressed the fact that approximately 140 acres of the campus, an area that was previously in use, would now be sold and available for development.

In addition to the new Master Plan Reexamination Report, Colliers Engineering & Design was retained to prepare the Borough’s first digital zoning map. A new, user-friendly zoning map with block numbers and street names was prepared as both an 11 x 17 inch handout and a 24 x 36 inch display. Now residents and business owners can clearly locate their property and determine which zoning designation is applicable.
