Colliers Engineering & Design led the structures engineering efforts under a subconsultant agreement for analysis and design of the V-Pier substructure replacement at the expansion piers on the Long Key Bridge (2.3 miles) in the Florida Keys. Work also included substructure rehabilitation and repairs of shear blocks, technical special provisions for the project, and quality control review of the construction methodology. The V-Pier replacement took place while maintaining existing traffic on the bridge.
