Colliers Engineering & Design performed a remedial investigation of the former Suburban Bus Company maintenance yard in South Plainfield using funds granted by the New Jersey Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF). Groundwater and soil contamination was delineated through a series of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.

Following the delineation of contamination, Colliers Engineering & Design professionals developed technical specifications for site remediation which included the excavation of over 3,000 tons of petroleum contaminated soils. The site has been backfilled, compacted, and seeded for future development into a public recreation area.
