Our firm collaborated with Hodess Cleanroom Construction on the design and construction of a cutting-edge radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility for Evergreen Theragnostics, a contract manufacturer serving the pharmaceutical industry in Springfield, New Jersey.

This 14,000 sq. ft. facility was designed from the ground up to comply with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, including therapeutic and diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals. We carefully considered site planning, space utilization, energy redundancy for business continuity, and mechanical system design to address appropriate exhaust airstreams.

Our team relied on their extensive experience in specialized lab planning and design to create an infrastructure that met the owner’s goals. It was essential that the facility supported high production capacity with room for future growth, enabled efficient workflow suitable for the highest cGMP standards, and provided an aesthetically pleasing building for employees.

Much of the design work and construction occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring extensive virtual collaboration between the contractor (Hodess), the owner (Evergreen), and equipment manufacturers in Europe. We also leveraged 3D design technology to provide owners with a virtual walk-through of the space.
