This Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study studied the system linkage, modal interrelationships, transportation demand, and capacity of SR 5/I-95 at SR 842/Broward Boulevard from west of SW 24th Avenue to east of NW/SW 18th Avenue.

As a subconsultant, Colliers Engineering & Design provided bridge concept designs for three viable alternative alignments to increase the level of service for the I-95 Interchange at Broward Blvd. The bridges included Broward Blvd. over I-95, Broward Blvd. over the SCL Railroad tracks, and the access road to the Park and Ride Facility. In addition to increasing the levels of service, the bridge structure over the access road to the Park and Ride Facility included provisions for a bus terminal below with vertical access to the bridge median above, enhancing the system linkage and modal interrelationships at I-95 and Broward Blvd. This study was compatible with the proposed I-95 Express Lanes improvements Phase 3 and 3A, and evaluated comprehensive improvements to the surrounding multimodal facilities
