Colliers Engineering & Design, a national multi-discipline engineering design firm, is pleased to announce Rusty Smith, PLS has joined the company. Mr. Smith will be working as a Geographic Discipline Leader for Survey/Geospatial services in the firm’s Columbia, MD office location.

“Bringing Rusty onboard to oversee our survey project management throughout the state of Maryland will help better serve our clients in this region,” said Mark DeLor, PLS, RLS, Geographic Discipline Leader of Survey/Geospatial services for Colliers Engineering & Design. “We’re looking forward to working together.”

Formerly, Vice President-LS/PLS for Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT), Mr. Smith performed the project management for the day-to-day operations and multiple field surveyor and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) crews to collect and process raw field data for the production of final deliverables for state and local agencies. His experience also includes deed research, boundary resolution, field crew management and scheduling for topography, 3D mapping and construction stakeout. He is a licensed professional surveyor in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
