Powering the Road Ahead: EV Charging Solutions

As the number of electric and hybrid vehicles grows, so does the critical need for charging infrastructure. From small residential or large commercial complexes to fleet locations and even installations on utility poles, Colliers Engineering & Design is at the forefront, connecting our clients to the power of EV Charging Stations.
Meet Your Expert
Stephanie Mulhern, PE, serves as a project manager, leading numerous EV Charging Station projects across the United States. Her unique background in both Telecommunications and Land Development provides a unique skill set perfect for this emerging sector.
“With telecommunications, all projects are very fast-paced with small scopes and quick turnarounds, versus conventional land development projects which require jurisdictional coordination, clear client communication and a lot of attention-to-detail,” explains Stephanie. “Working with EV charging stations combines those skills enabling us to meet the unique needs of the EV Charging sector.”
Connecting Clients to Possibilities
Colliers Engineering & Design works with a diverse range of clients—from property owners looking to add additional amenities to their properties, to larger companies upgrading their corporate fleet infrastructure, and of course direct to EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) companies. Our team offers the experience and connections needed to power up any EV Charging project.
Some clients opt to kick off the project by requesting a feasibility study. This would involve CED investigating utility power availability, potential zoning challenges and/or environmental hurdles. Other clients simply require a set of construction drawings to proceed with building permit submission.
Partnering for Longevity and Compliance
With greener transportation opportunities rising nationwide, our EV charging team is equipped to work across all 50 states. Depending on the location and client needs, these stations can be set up for public use with charging fees, or they can be free for specific users, such as managed fleets.
“Our team is capable of partnering with clients in every state to complete their EV Charging goals,” says Stephanie.
Clients rely on Colliers Engineering & Design to manage the complex external factors required to get sites operational. This includes:
- Navigating local and state permitting factors to ensure projects go live.
- Providing construction drawings, land surveys, and building permits.
- Expertly coordinating with several different EV Charging providers.
Driving Toward a Greener Future
A wide range of organizations can benefit from adding EV Charging Stations to their project sites.
“Our clients don’t have to be just property owners,” adds Stephanie. “We are here to help clients add electric vehicle charging to a variety of site possibilities. We have also been successful with simply making connections between EVSE companies and other CED clients that are looking to add EV charging to their properties.”
