Our Texas offices have been making a difference in their communities both in charitable support and the projects we are a part of.

April marks the celebrations of Fiesta in San Antonio. Originally started in 1891 as a parade-event to honor the heroes of the Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto, Fiesta today is a two-week long celebration of the City’s rich history and fundraising for a multitude of causes. This year, Colliers Engineering & Design is giving back to Morgan’s, a nonprofit organization named after Morgan Hartman. The mission of Morgan’s is to improve the quality of life for individuals of all ages and all abilities through initiatives that produce fully-inclusive, Ultra-Accessible™ experiences through various entities that include – Morgan’s Inspiration Island, Morgan’s Camp, Morgan’s Sports, and Morgan’s Multi-Assistance Center (MAC). Working with Gordon Hartman, Morgan’s Dad, founder of Morgan’s and residential developer, our professionals have been involved in the design and construction of the inclusive parks near our Regional Headquarters in San Antonio. Following the opening of the parks, our team was inspired to keep involved with the organization, sparking the drive for the Colliers Engineering & Design Foundation’s continued growth and expansion.

Alongside Morgan’s, our Texas Offices have continued to support local charities through a number of efforts. Our San Antonio office has been actively involved in their local branch of the American Heart Organization, organizing fundraisers and participating in events such as the annual Heart and Stroke Walk.

Food drives are also common to find around all of Colliers Engineering & Design’s offices, especially around the holidays. Team members come together collecting canned and non-perishable goods for their local food banks.

In collaboration with our employee resource group the Green Team, our professionals can be found participating in park and beach clean ups.

Making a Difference

The Colliers Engineering & Design Foundation was established by our Founder and Executive Chairman Richard Maser, PE, PP, CME, in 2014. Since its inception, over 100 organizations have received aid from our employee’s donations and support.

One of the branches of the Foundation is the Charitable Fridays program. Every other Friday throughout the course of the year, the Foundation will donate proceeds to an organization nominated by a fellow employee. These organization range from local charities to national organizations, with causes ranging from cancer research, environmental causes, food-based charities and more.

Our employees are also encouraged to donate their time to any organization. Those who regularly volunteer their time, with 30 or more hours in a year, the Foundation will increase the volunteer impact by donating $500.

Looking Forward

As Colliers Engineering & Design continues to expand its reach across the nation, the CED Foundation will follow suit.

“Because of how fast we are growing both locally and nationally, we anticipate supporting charities throughout all of Texas,” says Erin Salinas, Senior Manager of Marketing in Texas.
