Debbie Alaimo Lawlor Appointed to AICP Planning Accreditation Board
Holmdel, NJ – July 25, 2023 – Debbie Alaimo Lawlor, FAICP, PP, a Principal Associate with Colliers Engineering & Design’s Planning group, was recently appointed to the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) for a three-year term starting in December 2023.

Lawlor is a Principal Associate with the company, with over four decades of experience working with municipalities, regional authorities, counties, state, and federal agencies, as well as private clients. She is highly experienced in redevelopment investigations and plans, comprehensive master planning, resiliency and sustainability, and grant application processes while working with planning reports for applications submitted to multiple municipal boards and government agencies.
Lawlor was a past President of the AICP, chairing numerous committees including the national Community Assistance Planning Services Committee that provides professional planning and stakeholder engagement services to areas in need.
The PAB is an eight-member board comprising both planning practitioners and educators that accredits university programs in North America leading to bachelor’s and master’s degrees in planning. The PAB’s mission is to promote excellence among planning programs and ensure high quality education for future urban planners, embracing five core values: Stewardship, Collaboration, Communication, Integrity, and Leadership.
