By Colliers Engineering & Design

Colliers Engineering & Design, a national multi-discipline engineering, architecture, design and consulting firm, is pleased to announce it has finalized an agreement to acquire Ramos Consulting Services (CS), Inc., a Los Angeles-based engineering, planning, program, and construction management firm. Founded in 2008, Ramos CS provides quality transit, transportation, and infrastructure consulting services on projects that help mobilize states, cities, and communities across the Western United States.

“We are thrilled to have Ramos CS join our team,” said Kevin L. Haney, PE, President and CEO, Colliers Engineering & Design. “As transit, transportation and infrastructure experts, they will bring valuable knowledge to our firm”

“Our combined expertise will enable our Infrastructure division to provide clients with more full-service solutions when it comes to moving people,” added Haney.

Ramos CS provides expert services on complex, community-facing projects across the municipal, transit, transportation, airport, and port sectors.

Integrating Ramos CS’s capabilities with Colliers Engineering & Design’s existing service lines will create a dynamic, collaborative environment—strengthening the firm’s ability to deliver comprehensive solutions and supporting continued growth opportunities within the E/A industry.

“This milestone marks an exciting new chapter for our firm,” said Armando Ramos, PE, CEO and President of Ramos CS. “Driven by our unwavering commitment to excellence and project focus, we look forward to capitalizing on the many opportunities that bring value to our team and our clients. Now, as part of a national organization, we can leverage the size, resources, and established Colliers Engineering & Design brand.”

Under the firm’s unique partnership model, Ramos’ senior leadership team will continue to lead the transit business in California and become significant shareholders in Colliers Engineering & Design. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Armando Ramos, PE will serve as Discipline Leader, Transit, California, and Ignacio Roman, PE will serve as Geographic Discipline Leader, Transit, California. They will report to Richard Chelotti, PE, Infrastructure Division Director.

Ramos CS will be rebranded as Colliers Engineering & Design at a future date in 2026.
