NAS Kingsville RV Park

Kingsville, TX

The Naval Air Station in Kingsville trains Navy and Marine Corps’ tactical jet pilots, and the personnel, families, and visitors who pass through depend on quality-of-life infrastructure that holds up. When the original design firm on the recreational vehicle (RV) park renovation failed to deliver, the project needed a partner who could step in, recover lost ground, and carry it to completion. In partnership with Terra Constructs, our firm took over the design-build renovation and expansion, modernizing the existing RV accommodations and expanding capacity to meet rising demand.
The work covers demolition of deteriorated infrastructure, utility replacement, new RV hookups, roadway and parking upgrades, drainage enhancements, grading, and ADA-compliant access throughout the facility.
Design responsibilities span the full scope, including survey, as-built plans, Subsurface Utility Exploration (SUE), preliminary engineering, construction plan review, a sanitary sewer study, 100% civil plan preparation, as-built hydraulic analysis, existing detention basin evaluation, a storm water management plan, a TPDES storm water pollution prevention plan, conventional detention basin design, base permitting assistance, utility coordination, construction phase services, project management, site visits, and geotechnical exploration, reporting, and consultation. With team members and client staff spread across the country, the civil team kept the effort aligned, restoring momentum on a stalled project and delivering a modernized facility that better serves the people who rely on the base every day.
