Spanish River Blvd. Interchange

Palm Beach County, FL

Project consisted of the construction of the new Spanish River Boulevard Interchange from Spanish River Boulevard to Yamato Road (3.8 miles). The new interchange located between the I-95 and Glades Road Interchange and the I-95 and Yamato Road Interchange provides direct access from Spanish River/FAU Boulevard to northbound and southbound I-95. Project also includes the addition of auxiliary lanes on I-95 from Glades Road to Peninsula Corp. Drive (Congress Avenue Exit) in both directions, and cross street improvements to Yamato Road, Spanish River Boulevard, and FAU Boulevard.

Colliers Engineering & Design (CED) provided design of the bridge widening on I-95 over Yamato Road, Bridges 9 and 10, and the Soldier Pile retaining wall on the south side of Yamato Road. We were also tasked with all roadway improvements along SR-794/Yamato Road, including widening Yamato Road from three to four lanes. The widening required relocation and replacement of existing drainage structures, signal and railroad equipment, utilities, lighting, landscape, and overhead sign structures. CED’s scope under a subconsultant agreement included development of construction documents and all post-design services associated with our design elements.
