Moon Valley Pump Station and Water Main

Phoenix, AZ

Our firm provided engineering and construction management services for a major water infrastructure project in Phoenix, Arizona. The project involved a 2,500 GPM raw water pump station supplying irrigation water from the Arizona Canal to three golf courses and the design of a six-mile raw water transmission main.

This transition from potable to raw water for irrigation offers cost savings and supports Phoenix’s water conservation efforts. The project required extensive coordination with multiple agencies and navigated challenges along the heavily trafficked Thunderbird Road, including high-density utilities and passage through Rose Mofford Park and Greenbelt.

Delivered through Design-Bid-Build at $10 million, our services covered the entire project lifecycle. We managed bidding, contract execution, progress meetings, change orders, value engineering, and financial oversight. As the engineer of record, we handled submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field directives, concluding with final acceptance and comprehensive closeout.

This initiative not only ensures efficient irrigation for the golf courses but also contributes to sustainable water management in Phoenix, demonstrating effective urban water resource allocation.
