2016: Looking Backward and Forward

By Maraliese Beveridge

In 2015, Maser Consulting experienced two acquisitions, expanded five offices and opened two new locations; Norfolk, VA and Columbia, MD. That’s a busy agenda! But the reason all of this is happening now is because way back in 1984, Richard Maser’s independent nature led him to the challenge of starting his own company and making a commitment to introduce and develop the next generation of engineering services. Originally focused on civil and site development, the firm quickly grew to include municipal and traffic services. His belief in diversifying services to serve a variety of public and private clients worked like a charm for the firm, enabling it to withstand economical ups and downs through the years. Today, this strategy has grown the company to include seven core disciplines that encompass a full range of engineering services. Richard Maser’s commitment to the industry has seen the firm through 31 years of service and is showing no sign of slowing down.

On January 4th Triangle Surveying and Mapping in Miami, a 47-person acquisition, joined Maser Consulting. This will bring the overall personnel count to over 600 with 20 offices nationwide. Part of Maser’s strategy has been to onboard some of the most respected and talented professionals in the industry. And so it is with Triangle President and founder John Liptak, who has led his company in providing comprehensive surveying services to private developers, city, state and federal agencies throughout the State of Florida. The decision for this acquisition was made as a strategic move toward reinforcing our services while providing new opportunities nationwide. Mr. Liptak has assumed the role of Geographic Discipline leader at Maser Consulting for survey activities in South Florida and we look forward to working with him and his team of professionals.
