Manville Water Supply
Multiple, TXOur team provided geotechnical engineering services to support the Manville Water District’s extensive infrastructure expansion in Central Texas. This ambitious project involved a 25-mile water supply line connecting Manor and Blue, Texas, along with two 5-million-gallon ground storage tanks. To guide the pipeline’s alignment, our team conducted detailed subsurface exploration and developed essential design parameters for excavation support systems, including solutions for a challenging 10-foot cut section. These efforts ensured stability and efficiency during construction.
The storage tank facilities, featuring 146-foot diameters and 40-foot walls, required precise foundation analysis to support their massive size and capacity. Our team performed specialized evaluations to deliver deep foundation recommendations for both the interior slabs and continuous wall footings. These recommendations were tailored to ensure the long-term stability and durability of the tanks under operational loads and varying soil conditions, addressing the unique demands of the project.
Completed between August 2023 and April 2024, this project highlights our team’s expertise in large-scale water infrastructure development. From tackling complex geotechnical challenges to providing innovative and reliable design solutions, our contributions were integral to the successful expansion of the Manville Water District’s critical infrastructure, ensuring its readiness to meet the region’s growing water supply needs.
