Our firm provided comprehensive geotechnical engineering, construction quality assurance (CQA), Special Inspection, and material testing services for LogistiCenter at Woolwich, a state-of-the-art industrial park in Woolwich Township, New Jersey. This project encompasses three warehouse distribution buildings totaling over 1.15 million square feet, including an insulated freezer warehouse.

Our involvement spanned the entire design and construction process. We conducted geotechnical investigations, providing recommendations for earthwork, foundations, slabs-on-grade, and pavements. We also performed infiltration tests for stormwater management basins and environmental testing for NJDEP Clean Fill documentation.

During construction, our technicians conducted extensive materials testing, including earthwork compaction, concrete for pavements, and asphalt density testing. NJDCA-certified Special Inspectors oversaw foundation construction, reinforcing steel installation, concrete placement, masonry construction, and structural steel erection, ensuring compliance with project specifications and the NJ IBC.

We collaborated closely with Dermody Properties, construction managers, contractors, and the municipal engineer. Our team attended meetings and provided regular updates through detailed Daily Field Reports. This ongoing communication and adaptability in addressing evolving project needs were crucial to completing this significant industrial development, positioning LogistiCenter at Woolwich as a premier facility in the region’s competitive market.
