LogistiCenter at Carney’s Point

Carney's Point Township, NJ

Our firm provided comprehensive geotechnical engineering, environmental design, construction quality assurance (CQA), Special Inspection, and material testing services for two warehouse distribution facilities in Carney’s Point, Salem County, New Jersey. The completed development features dual warehouses totaling 587,750 sq. ft., along with six stormwater management basins, access driveways, parking, and associated site improvements.

Geotechnical services included multiple test borings with recommendations for earthwork, building foundations, slabs-on-grade, and pavements.  Infiltration testing was also performed to help design the six stormwater management basins.  Environmental services were provided to manage the disposal of PFAS-contaminated groundwater and to design sub-slab vapor barriers and passive venting systems.

During the construction of this large-scale project, we deployed experienced, credentialed Senior Field Technicians and Special Inspectors as full-time on-site staff. This approach allowed our team to become integral to the client’s on-site team and to anticipate and address issues proactively.  While site work did not require Special Inspections under the NJ Building Code, the warehouses’ classification as Class 1 buildings necessitated NJDCA-certified Special Inspections.  Services included earthwork, utilities, foundations, cast-in-place concrete, floor slabs-on-grade (including floor flatness & levelness testing), tilt-up wall panels, and structural steel.

Our commitment to experienced, full-time field staff ensured a high level of quality assurance throughout the project. This approach delivered superior value for our client, solidifying our position as a trusted partner in achieving project success and regulatory compliance.
