Colliers Engineering & Design provided professional engineering services for a sinkhole remediation project which included multiple engineering services to remediate four underground stormwater management systems within an existing shopping center. Our services included surveying, site plan preparation, phasing plans, grading and drainage plans, soil erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management report, erosion control report, regulatory permitting, construction document preparation, geotechnical services, and geophysical services (scanning). The geophysical scanning of the area, coupled with geotechnical investigations, determined the sinkhole extents and were remediated accordingly. We also designed water tight stormwater management systems to replace the existing systems that were contributing to the sinkhole issues.
