CHARLOTTE/RALEIGH, NC – Maser Consulting PA, a multidiscipline consulting and engineering design firm, is pleased to announce that it has hired Robert Memory, CPM as Regional Utility Senior Project Manager in the Survey and Geospatial Services Division. He is charged with managing utilities engineering and coordination for North and South Carolina from the firm’s third location in the region.

Mr. Memory is a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with expertise in utility relocation through 30 years of previous experience working for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) with eleven of those years as the State Utility Agent.

“Robert is well known and respected in the Carolinas for his expertise and is a great addition to our team,” explained Tommy S. Mallard, Geographic Discipline Leader and Senior Project Director of Survey for Maser Consulting. “His unique qualifications will greatly facilitate our efforts with utility relocation for local infrastructure projects.”

The relocation of utilities required to make way for infrastructure improvement projects, such as roadway expansions, is a complicated process and specialized service that Maser Consulting has been expanding. This includes subsurface utility engineering (SUE) which is a branch of engineering practice that utilizes a combination of geophysical methods, civil engineering, and survey and mapping to locate existing subsurface utilities so that infrastructure projects can proceed.
