Jose H. Carmona joins Colliers Engineering & Design
Colliers Engineering & Design, a national multi-discipline engineering and architecture, design and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that it has hired Jose H. Carmona, Jr., PE, as the Municipal Department Manager out of the firm’s Bryan, TX office. Jose will serve public sector assisting clients with the responsibility of meeting the growing infrastructure requirements in central Texas.
Mr. Carmona has over 14 years of professional experience in government infrastructure design and land development. As Department Manager, he will serve public sector clients for all needs, including street and drainage design; water and sewer design; flood studies; plat and plan review; and construction engineering and inspection. Previous projects he has worked on include Alum – College Station, Bluejack National Golf Club, and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute Freight Shuttle International.
“Jose has expertise in government infrastructure design, serving a variety of clients in the Central Texas region,” said Christopher Otto, PE, Regional Discipline Leader of Municipal Services from the firm’s San Antonio, TX office. “We are excited to have him join the team and look forward to seeing the continued growth and expansion in our Texas markets.”
Mr. Carmona participates in the Brazos Chapter of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) where he previously served as President, Vice-President, and Secretary. He also received the Young Engineer of the Year Award in 2014 by the Southeast Texas chapter of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
Mr. Carmona received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2011 and completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2023.
