Colliers Engineering & Design Appoints John C. Walton as Geotechnical Discipline Leader

Exton, PA – May 30, 2025 – Colliers Engineering & Design is proud to announce the promotion of John C. Walton, M.S., P.E., to National Discipline Leader for the firm’s Geotechnical engineering services. With 25 years of distinguished expertise in this field, Mr. Walton will spearhead the firm’s nationwide geotechnical initiatives, driving innovation and excellence across all territories.

Mr. Walton’s diverse project portfolio includes multi-phase subsurface explorations and laboratory testing programs for low and mid-rise building structures, transportation facilities, and marine infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic. His technical expertise encompasses the interpretation of subsurface, geophysical, and geologic data; and the analysis and design of shallow and deep foundation systems; directing and administering field testing, remediation and exploration programs; administering geophysical surveys (Electrical Resistivity and Ground Penetrating Radar); developing and administering geotechnical instrumentation programs; analysis of slope stabilization and soil retention structures; evaluating and administering remedial and preventative measures for karst geology; and the development and review of geotechnical engineering reports, correspondence, and specifications.
