Capacity improvements were made to the SR 874 / Don Shula Expressway mainline by adding one (1) lane in each direction from SW 88th St. / Kendall Drive to the SR 826 / Palmetto Expressway. Improvements also included retaining walls, shoulder/retaining wall-mounted and ground-mounted noise walls, drainage, milling and resurfacing, and signing and pavement markings. Additionally, bridge widening occurred at Snapper Creek canal (C-2 canal), SW 87th Ave. / Galloway Road, SW 72nd Ave. / Sunset Drive, and SW 56th Ave. / Miller Drive.
