The Mighty Squirrel brewery and taproom, located at 1 David Ortiz Drive, sits just a block from the iconic Fenway Park, making it a prime destination for beer lovers and sports fans.

This two-story, 13,000-square-foot venue features four bars, private event spaces, and several unique seating areas. It houses a production brewery offering beers, hard seltzers, hard smoothies, and a full kitchen. Our design mirrors the approach used at Mighty Squirrel’s Waltham location, integrating the brewery’s brand identity while immersing patrons in the brewing process. Features like The Brew Deck and The Overlook provide guests with exceptional views of brewing operations.

One of the project’s key challenges was working around the building’s existing elements and immovable utilities. A circular wall on the second floor conceals significant ductwork while appearing intentional, shaping the downstairs bar and influencing the design of the added second floor and mezzanine to maximize space and aesthetic appeal.

The result is a comfortable, casual space that blends functionality with thoughtful design, elevating the Fenway brewing scene. Mighty Squirrel enriches the neighborhood with a vibrant gathering place, fostering community engagement and delivering exceptional craft beer experiences in a memorable setting.
